10/01/2013 -- Ambit Energy, a leading retail energy provider of electricity and natural gas in deregulated states across the country, closed its 7th annual AMBITION conference in Dallas. The conference hosted more than 10,000 of its independent sales consultants, representing all 50 states.

AMBITION took place in five venues across Dallas, including the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Hilton Anatole, Sheraton Dallas, Omni Hotel and the American Airlines Center for its general session. The event created approximately $29 million total economic impact for the city of Dallas.

"This was our most successful year yet at Ambit Energy," said Co-founder and CEO of Ambit Energy, Jere Thompson, Jr. "Since AMBITION 2012, we surpassed the benchmarks of $1 billion in annual revenue and 1 million customers. None of this would be possible without our hard-working consultants and dedicated corporate employees."

Leadership expert, best-selling author and keynote speaker John C. Maxwell addressed a near-capacity crowd during the general session at the American Airlines Center. His message focused on finding fulfillment today instead of looking to the past.

"After writing more than 70 books over the past 30 years, I know leadership when I see it," said best-selling author and renowned motivational speaker John C. Maxwell. "At AMBITION 2013, I was surrounded by many excellent leaders who want nothing more than to create a world of financial liberty and change. I'm glad I was a part of this great event with Ambit Energy."

Prizes, such as iPad minis, cash, free registration for future AMBITION conferences, a 2014 Can-Am Spyder ST-S SE5 and a 2014 Cadillac CTS Coupe were all given away to Ambit Energy consultants via random drawings held throughout Saturday's general session.

"As we left this event, our independent consultants were more eager than ever to share the Ambit Energy mission and opportunity," said Co-founder and CMO Chris Chambless. "As we continue to provide our customers across the country with exceptional service and value, we expect AMBITION to only get bigger and better."
