October 31, 2014 -- FOR the fifth consecutive year, USANA Health Sciences has been recognized as one of 52 dedicated Direct Selling Association (DSA) member companies to take part in the 2014 DSA Code of Ethics Communication Initiative. While participation in the program is optional for DSA member companies, doing so demonstrates USANA's dedication to promote and embody the industry Code of Ethics.

"It's an honor to be a member of the DSA Code of Ethics, and we take that responsibility seriously," said Kevin Guest, president of USANA. "Participation in this initiative allows us to properly educate the public about the direct selling industry and continue to hold ourselves and other direct selling companies accountable to high ethical standards."

Created in 2008, the initiative recognizes member companies that go above and beyond in their efforts to promote awareness of the code by fulfilling the necessary criteria and adhering to ethical business practices within direct sales.

Topping the list of assurances, the DSA Code of Ethics ensures that member companies will not make any statements or promises that may mislead either consumers or prospective sales people. The association recognizes that pyramid schemes are illegal, and companies operating such structures are not permitted to be members of the DSA.

“Achieving this honorable distinction for the fifth consecutive year is a testament to the way USANA does its business of providing good health among our customers,” says USANA Philippines general manager Aurora “Duday” Gaston. “Ultimately, this serves as an inspiration to our team to always complement our high-quality products with business practices that uphold the same brand of integrity, credibility, and ethical standards.”
