Apr 07, 2015 -- Green Mountain Energy Company, the nation’s longest serving renewable energy retailer, today announced it is now offering service to residential customers in Massachusetts and New Jersey. The initial expansion will bring 100 percent clean, renewable energy sourced from wind to households in the Eversource (NSTAR) territory in Massachusetts and to JCP&L customers in New Jersey. Later this month, service plans to expand to households in the PSE&G and Potomac Edison territories, and to NatGrid, WMECO and Rockland Electric in May.

Green Mountain already provides renewable energy in competitive markets in Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas. With more than 17 years of dedication to cleaner energy, Green Mountain is uniquely positioned to offer local residents a variety of clean electricity service options as a reliable and experienced green power provider.

“People value clean energy as an option to power their homes and positively impact the environment,” said Mike Starck, managing director of Green Mountain Energy Company. “Green Mountain’s expansion into these new areas is a direct result of consumers’ growing demand for renewable energy, and we’re excited to invite new customers to join us in our mission to change the way power is made.”
